Some guy in Maryland bought a storage unit with loads of Dikembe Mutombo memorabilia

In a recent storage auction in Maryland, some guy named Adrian Petrus bought a unit for $300, without having any idea of the what was inside. You know, just like what happens in Storage Wars. But it turns out that the contents of the unit were much cooler than anything you’ve ever seen on that show, because he was left with enough Dikembe Mutombo memorabilia to make himself a small fortune.

According to TMZ, the unit belonged to Mutombo’s brother, who had to go back to the Congo recently after there was a death in the family. And the reason he lost the locker is because he simply forgot to make a handful of payments, so now it belongs to Petrus who may end up selling most of the stuff on eBay.

The thing is, there are some awesome things inside that unit, including Mutombo’s old shoes (which are huge), his practice jersey from when he was at Georgetown and a picture of him chilling with Michael Jackson.

So if you’re a fan, remind yourself to check eBay every day, just in case something cool gets put up there.
